COVID-19 Safety Procedures
We are taking important precautions to keep our customers and vendors safe amidst COVID-19 concerns, including required spacing between vendors and a setup to avoid congestion in typically high-traffic areas. Vendors and staff who are engaging with customers are required to wear face coverings, and there will be no open sampling of any food. Hand sanitizer stations will be set up as you enter, as well as signs stating that no one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19, or known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days, is permitted to shop the market.
Many vendors plan to offer preorder, prepayment, and pickup options to minimize contact. Please reach out to individual businesses to communicate plans and make arrangements.
Yorktown Market Days is a proud participant in the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as well as Virginia’s Fresh Match Program which gives qualifying customers one dollar for every dollar they spend on fruits and vegetables. The cap has been temporarily waived so families can put as much of their money as they’d like toward produce under the Fresh Match, using their EBT/Food Stamp/SNAP card. This includes the one-time benefit called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT.
