Tap into their creative side with these special summer classes hosted by On the Hill Gallery. Class sizes are limited to ensure proper social distancing.
2020 Summer Schedule
July 14: "What's in a Line?"
Discover ways to use line to create interesting artwork. Work with paints and brushes, mix colors, and learn to name several types of lines used in art. Ages 7-10.
July 15: "Bursting Open: Relief Paper Folding Sculpture"
Explore folding paper and create dramatic relief sculptures by combining the folded units. Ages 9-12.

July 16: "Keith Haring Style Line Drawings"
Line and color create dramatic graphics when you combine understanding of positive and negative space! Ages 9-12.

July 17: "What's a Zentangle?"
Create doodle designs using black pen and your imagination! Ages 7-10.

July 21: "Fairy Houses: Shaped from Modeling Clay"
Learn the basics of hand building while creating a fairy house. Ages 7-10.

July 22: "Thumbnail Sketches: Using them to Design an Artwork"
Experiment with the rules of design and see how dramatically an artwork can improve when you plan ahead with thumbnail sketches. Ages 12 and up.

July 23: "What's Bugging You?"
Study the anatomical structure of an insect and create accurate, detailed drawings. Ages 9-12.

July 24: "No More Lollipop Trees"
Investigate how mathematical scale and size can help draw a tree and scale proportion. Ages 7-12.
