As you travel to Historic Yorktown, consider taking the Colonial Parkway, a 23-mile stretch of paved river-gravel roadway, which is an attraction in and of itself and is perfect for sightseeing. The road runs parallel to the James and York Rivers and was constructed to integrate the region’s natural and cultural beauty. It's the ideal route to take in the vibrant, picturesque environment!

From the time you pick up the Parkway in Williamsburg to the time you exit here in Yorktown is about a 20-minute drive. There are several designated stops along the way to pull over and soak in the ambiance. Once you arrive to our tip of the Historic Triangle—you’ll find even more breathtaking views and opportunities for spectacular photos and memorable outdoor adventures.
