Arts & Culture

Yorktown offers so much more beyond the beach. It boasts a thriving community of local, regional and national painters, sculptors, jewelry artisans, and more. The best part? The shops are within 10 minutes of each other by foot.

  • Black Dog Gallery specializes in hand-crafted picture frames, custom painted floor clothes, framing, and contemporary prints.
  • Gallery at York Hall hosts revolving fine arts exhibits every six to eight weeks. The gallery displays watercolor, pottery, photography, and needlework artists.
  • On the Hill Gallery showcases jewelry, watercolors, pastel, and oil paintings from local and regional artists. It also offers art classes for adults and children.
  • Viccellio Goldsmith & Fine Jewelry designs beautiful and unique handmade bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings.
Visual arts vendors also pop up at Yorktown Market Days, which runs from April to October.

Concerts

You’ll like the sound of this: Historic Yorktown hosts free music events at Riverwalk Landing all year long. We’ve got a little something for everyone – from bluegrass and R&B to classical and beach music.

Bring your chairs, blankets, and coolers to the grassy field in front of the performance stage to enjoy a concert at one of these events:
