  1. Yorktown Market's Paws at the River Pet Day

    September 9, 2017, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Riverwalk Landing

    Yorktown Market Days is excited for its annual Paws at the River - an event designed to bring awareness to animal rescue organizations, and to help place adoptable pets in their “furever” homes. Be sure to mark your calendars and bring your dogs, cats, birds, and lizards down to Riverwalk Landing in York County, Virginia. A favorite event, Yorktown Market Days located on the Yorktown waterfront operates weekly on Saturdays 8 am to 12 pm with extended hours Oct. 14, Nov. 11 & 18, and Dec. 9. Featuring over 35 local farmers, producers, vendors, and artists throughout the season, including a variety of homegrown favorites and local art. This week’s live music is Audio Portrait. Shoppers can enjoy the added bonus of watching local chefs demonstrate the preparation of various dishes on select Saturdays.

    American Revolution Museum at Yorktown’s inaugural special exhibition: “AFTERWARD” – When the battle ceased at Yorktown, it was just the beginning. Follow the incredible stories of veterans of the Siege of Yorktown and how they went on after the war to help shape the America we know today. A series of public lectures and plays will take place on September 17, September 29-30, October 18, and November 11 and 15.
